In the Realm of Our Senses

I awoke today wondering what all the fuss has been about the last two weeks rushing to learn a new language, waking at dawn to write on my blog, feeling the shadow of time pushing at my back the hours of the day never enough. Today, our cosmic messenger, the planet Mercury, flitting between our conscious and unconscious mind entered the sensuous realm of Taurus and it is time to stop our mental bulling and allow our conscious mind to languish in the voluptuous body of the earth our ravenous appetite delectably sampling the abundance of life’s offerings.

When Mercury travels with Taurus our mind is enveloped in the world of our senses and our thoughts are focused on the pleasures of our body. Our mind’s eyes closed to mental abstractions it is a time to express our thoughts through the pleasuring of our body. What I am getting at is this; the last weeks we were challenged to think in a new way about ourselves, to initiate a new idea or way of being in life, and now it is time to give our new idea form, a physical body reflecting more of who we are. When under the influence of Taurus we are keenly aware of our physical pleasuring and enjoying the fruits of our mental laboring can be expressed in a myriad of ways according to the taste of each individual.

What is important now is to stop our aggressive pursuit of self determination, if only for the next two weeks, and shift our point of view so we can smell the flowers in bloom, hear the birds in song, witness shadows cast with the changing light of the Sun, savor the sweetness of our favorite foods, and reach out our hand to touch the impossible green of a leaf.
