This image of a bull is a painting in a Southern Italian manuscript, c. 1220, attesting to a renewed interest in astrology that came to the West through the Arabic influences on astrology.

What I find most interesting with this image is the crescent shape of the bulls horns reminding me of the influence of the Moon Goddess in the fertility ritual of the bull.
