Lasting Change

Friday the 13th, Pluto Rx moved back into freedom loving Sagittarius and like those of us restless with the responsibilities of adult life, Pluto will indulge in one last impetuous fling, throwing caution to the wind, before spending thirteen years in Capricorn sobriety. Pluto first entered Capricorn end of January and will re -enter Capricorn mid November. Now until then we may be tempted by any number of distractions, wrestling with finding a balance between intellect and instinct. The ruling planet for Sagittarius, Jupiter, is in Capricorn so it is possible that we will experience a more prudent and judicious Sagittarian Pluto than that of the last sixteen years. I think the next months will bring a renewed focus on fanaticism hopefully uncovering the devastating destruction to life that this choice perpetuates throughout the world. Pluto is that aspect in our self that rends aside the veils of secrecy to reveal the hidden truths in people and situations. Do not be surprised if something happens this weekend to show where in your personal life you are fanatically holding onto a repressive idea.

The first celestial conversation after Pluto’s re-entry into Sagittarius is the Scorpio Moon square Mars in Leo opposing Chiron Rx in Aquarius; revealing the painful insecurities that are the roots of fanatical bravado. At the same time, the Scorpio Moon squares the Nodes highlighting our fear of survival manifesting as violence against ourselves and others. When we indiscriminately privilege the power of a few we overshadow our ability to honor the sovereignty of every individual and we unwittingly dishonor all of life. When the Moon is in Scorpio we on Earth are offered the possibility of breaking down old form in order to create new energy which then manifests as new form. It is important that we become consciously aware of this process so that we can create the new forms that we want.

The Moon also makes a trine to Uranus and a sextile to Jupiter alerting us to the healing powers offered us if we can grow in emotional independence and stop blaming someone else for what ever situation is threatening us. We are being challenged to accept personal responsibility for our contribution to creating and solving the problem. When Pluto re -enters Capricorn we will become more aware of the hidden problems inherent in the structures that we have created . The gift of Capricorn is understanding how to use what our environment is offering to us for use to manifesting lasting change.
