A Monthly Tête á Tête

Each and every month the Sun and Moon meet face to face and enjoying a brief tête á tête invite us to set our intentions for the coming month by directing our attention to the concerns of the sign  they are in. This month they embrace in  the Venus ruled sign of Libra and peace and harmony in our relationships are foremost in our hearts. Because the Moon expresses our unconscious motives and the Sun our conscious realizations, this month, the solar and lunar lights bring us a golden opportunity for illuminating the unconscious motives we reflect in our conscious realizations of our relationships with others.

When under the influence of Libra we tend to identify who we are in relationship with others, without whose reflection we are left feeling incomplete. This is one reason why  being single can fill us with anxiety or feel so excruciatingly lonely, or if we are in a partnership, that we tend to miss the subtle projecting of our unconscious onto our relationship. In both situations what we fail to consciously realize is that what we experience as incomplete within ourself is our inability to see the  illusive face of the other half of ourselves being reflected in our relationship with another. The Libra new Moon is directing our attention to what  is missing in our relationships, which is in essence what we are unable to see within ourselves. The Sun and the Moon are opposing faces of ourself which we must integrate if we are to achieve wholeness within. With the helping hands of Libra we can spend this month getting better acquainted with ourself by becoming more aware of what we contribute to the quality of our relationships via the face of our other half.

Libra is that aspect in each of us aesthetically aware of the style and form of our relationships. On the beneficial side of the Libran scales we intuitively negotiate the needs of everyone concerned; on the detrimental side  of the Libran scales we relinquish our individuality for the sake of peace and harmony with others. The Libra new Moon is our opportunity to balance the scales so that we can resonate in harmony with ourself and others. I was reminded today, talking with a friend, that quantum physics has scientifically recognized what mystics have know all along; that when we dance with life we are in harmony with ourself and when we are in harmony with ourself we are in harmony with our other half.

    Hi Lauren,

I was born towards the end of the first quarter Moon phase, between a square and an opposition, and your recent posts on the Libra New Moon cycle has helped me understand how i create discord and challenges on the outside, just to realize the extent of disharmony within me. With a Sun in Scorpio and a Moon in Pisces, what’s come up for me is the necessity to integrate my desire to keep others in control (Scorpio’s intense need for merging at the soul level) and also melt the boundaries of disparity, separateness, etc. It has been a great revelation and i dearly thank you for it.

It is all so fantastic…this thing called Self Awareness.

    Kind regards,

    Dipika

Never under estimate the depth of your insight and self- healing resonating from your natal Scorpio Sun and Pisces Moon.

    Good fortune on your journey.
