Beneficial For Whom

The transit of significance at the moment, meaning that transit which is having the most impact on current events and imprinting a long lasting influence on the conscious realization of humankind, is Saturn in Virgo opposing Uranus in Pisces. There have been many excellent astrological commentaries written on the current Saturn -Uranus opposition that have made me aware of the hall of mirrors surrounding the American public which are distorting fact and fiction and making it impossible to discern what is actually being reflected in the choices and decisions being made. Everyday I read another penetrating interpretation about how these two planets are manifesting events in our daily lives, and not surprising, considering the mutual exchange between Uranus in Pisces and Neptune in Aquarius, that many of the events manifesting seem heavily influenced by Neptune’s classic slight of hand. Adding to the heightened uncertainty already permeating a fear filled atmosphere is Neptune hovering in the sky preparing to station direct on the first of November when we will experience a shift in the current flow of our consciousness. As if all that were not enough, astrologers know wherever Neptune transits confusion arises making it hard to discern if what is happening is magical, miraculous, and marvelous, or delusional, deceptive, and dangerous.
I doubt that anyone except for a handful of possible puppeteers pulling strings are experiencing this time as anything other than dangerously troubling. Putting Neptune aside for the moment, it is obvious for all to see that there is a flip flopping of Saturn and Uranus in an ideological battle being waged in the United States that shows two faces of Uranus: the face seeking to preserve (Saturn) the American myth of rugged individualism and maverick free marketeering (Uranus); and the face seeking a fundamental change from business as usual (Saturn) in exchange for a new vision for the future (Uranus) inclusive of a social justice and ecological balance which values the contribution of every individual. The celestial calling of this Saturn and Uranus transit is Individual Responsibility in union with collective global interests, this is where Neptune in Aquarius charges in, to create a new version of globalization; a version offering the possibility to join in union western technology, the spiritual awareness of the east, and the ecological wisdom of the indigenous cultures in the northern and southern hemispheres.
Uranus is our celestial wild card that delivers shocking, unpredictable, and unprecedented changes in ourself and to the events in our life. It is impossible for any individual to control how Uranus will manifest but each individual is responsible for how they choose to respond to the wild calling of Uranus within. When we are under the influence of Uranus we tend to demand unbridled freedom from social and moral restraints not dissimilar to many of the domestic and international policies of the United States government. But another, equally as compelling motivation when under the influence of Uranus is to demand the excellence in human innovation and creative invention which has lead to the proliferation of technological advancements in the United States and around the world that can revolutionize the quality of life on Earth if used responsibly and in benefit of everyone.
It is not surprising that Uranus is reaching for the sky standing tall on the Mid-heaven of the Boehrer/Dobyns US chart, nor that the virtues of individualism can be heard in the voices of the ideological battle currently raging in America. There seems little doubting that the highest ideals of the American people wield the double face of Uranus, and that unless tempered with Saturn discipline and responsibility the goals and achievements of the American culture will continue to spawn social abuse and injustice. The grace of our wild child Uranus in Pisces is bringing us the awareness that our individual participation is mandatory for healing the social injustice presently existing in every corner of our world.
Neptune in Aquarius echoes a similar theme offering global unity and the healing of differences while upholding the rights of every individual by specifically not pandering to the dictating of the elite. But Neptune has difficulty maintaining form and is that aspect in each of us eroding our separateness, wearing down our individuality so that eventually we are unable to discern our interests from the interests of others and willingly sacrifice ourself upon the collective alter. It is tempting to imagine Neptune’s part purposefully played in eroding institutions that are interfering with the unity and healing of global communities, yet, I wonder if the current financial crisis hasn’t been manipulated by those same institutions to solidify rather than dissolve the proliferation of their authority. The word “Amero” keeps mysteriously appearing in my day dreaming. It is possible that Neptune in Aquarius is wearing down the aloofness and emotional distance of such institutions but it is just as likely that this is my Neptunian deceit. In times like these it is best to remain alert taking nothing at face value which maybe the awakening offered this transit of Neptune in Aquarius.
In the spirit of taking nothing at face value, most Americans are unaware that the Federal Reserve Bank is a privately owned institution with unregulated power and solo authority for printing US currency which it then lends to the US government at interest. Some people believe that the Bank Panic of 1907 was manipulated by J.P. Morgan to create the Federal Reserve Bank by deceiving (Neptune) the American public into believing it was a necessary and beneficial solution to the economic crisis. The question begs asking beneficial for whom?
I find these to be words of prophecy:
“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous than standing armies…If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of currency….the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of their property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.”
Thomas Jefferson, 1743 -1826.
