A Breath of Fresh Air

Today, I awoke as the glorious rays of the Sun shimmered brightly in the sign of Aquarius and I was acutely aware of the coming month and the opportunity that I was being given to undress any self conscious posturing of my identity and stand naked in my shinning light. How I love that cool crisp clarity of thought that blows every winter in the breath of Aquarius helping me appreciate who I am separate and unique from everyone else rather than striving to conform to an established status quo concealing me from myself.

The Aquarius dimension of our psyche wants to be free from the shackles of other people’s rules and regulations insisting on dancing to the beat of it’s own drummer. I encourage you to bask in the warmth of the sun this coming month and celebrate the uniqueness of your individuality placing yourself in the center of humanity. It is certain that at some time during the next 30 days as the Sun apparently moves through Aquarius each of us will experience something outside ourselves which will direct our attention to a unique expression of our individuality.

Don’t be surprised if during the month you are challenged to honor an unpopular opinion which isolates you from the comfortable approval of the group. The Aquarius imprint of originality is most often expressed through the realm of thought and idea and this month everyone will get an extra boost to develop their original thinking when Mercury stations Rx in Aquarius. Ancient astrologers considered Mercury to be the messenger of the Gods and even today astrologers consider Mercury to be the translating conduit between the macro and micro mind. When Mercury is in Aquarius it is especially alert to unique ideas and original thoughts. When Mercury stations Rx, which it does three times during each year, communication slows down giving everyone time to Rx – evaluate how well, or not, they are communicating their ideas and thoughts with the rest of humanity.

As long as the Sun walks arm in arm with Aquarius and Mercury stations Rx in Aquarius we may well ponder this month’s conundrum: being a member of the group requires standing alone.
