A Cycle of Renewal

“The tree wanting to send it’s branches to heaven must send it’s roots to hell.” *
We enter the Jupiter dimension of unconscious when we experience meaning and significance in our lives and we enter the Saturn dimension of ourselves when we tenaciously work to manifest our cherished ambitions. When Jupiter and Saturn are in harmony we have the distinct possibility of giving form to something which deeply inspires us. When Pluto gets involved our achievements are longer lasting but getting to where we want to go may require an unexpected “long days journey into night”. The good news today is that Jupiter, the planet of expansion, is making a harmonious trine with Saturn, the planet of restriction, and while Jupiter’s beneficent posturing is weakened in the sign of Capricorn we may still experience a softer falling from grace than if these two planets were not in trine.
Jupiter spends one year traveling thru each sign in the zodiac and when he is in Sagittarius, as he was in 2007, Jupiter’s robust enthusiasm can get carried away and inflate into unbridled expansion. After all, when under the influence of Jupiter we want to soar like a bird up up and away and when Jupiter enters Capricorn the soaring wings of Icarus have moved too close to the Sun and we come crashing to earth colliding into the stone cold reality of our all too human limitations. We need only consider the infinite wisdom of the zodiacal ordering of the signs placing Sagittarius before Capricorn to comprehend why Jupiter’s exuberant enthusiasm in Sagittarius may require a more sober sojourn thru Capricorn. Getting back to earth can bring injuries to body and soul if we are unable to adjust to the forces of gravity and in this current Jupterian cycle we have the added presence of Pluto, the planet of decay and renewal, and Mars, the planet of dynamic action, marking external events such as the volatile barometer of the stock market and other spontaneously combustible happenings. For more on Mars and the state of the current economy I direct you to astrologer and energetic healer, Terry Lamb.
If you haven’t already experienced ripened fruit falling in your Garden of Eden you may have the opportunity during the next three days to observe something in your life that once bestowed pleasure turn to decay as you personally experience this cycle of renewal. I believe decay, transformation, and renewal give significance to this cycle of Jupiter in Capricorn because of Pluto’s accompanying ingress into Capricorn on the 26th of this month.
