Balancing Desire

Astrology recognizes that the beginning of any event carries the seed that will give form to that event; and so, today, the first day of a new month, the planet Mars, god of war, makes a harmonious aspect to the planet Pluto, god of the underworld, and we on Earth are given this opportunity to creatively transform how we assert our will and take action to achieve what we want. Taking action is always guaranteed when Mars and Pluto are in dialogue; the quality of the action depends solely upon our self-awareness. We need only consider the devastation and death ravaging Mother Earth to comprehend the horrors that these two forces can produce. Luckily, we are given a celestial helping hand this month, as the Sun and Mercury sojourn in Libra, to gain a better balance between asserting what we want in tandem with others asserting what they want.
